“Justified” Finale — Tomorrow, When Self Is Home

Self can’t concentrate, somehow. Perhaps it’s because she knows she’s going to have to be up at 4 a.m. to catch her flight back to San Francisco.

It’s been a jam-packed week, in which self fell prey to that awful malady: stress eating. Yes, in spite of self having had to walk further and faster than she has ever had to walk in her entire life, she did miraculously gain weight (Was it all those fantastic restaurant meals with Penny — including this morning’s lemon and ricotta pancackes w/ blackberries from Sarabeth’s on Amsterdam, or all the take-out from Land and Haru on the Upper East Side?)

And now self can’t locate the New York channel for F/X (for 1st season finale of “Justified.” And so she’s watching “The Good Wife” and it is so delicious to see how many emotions Julianna Margulies can project with simply a shift of her dark eyes.

And self is almost 90% sure that Anthony Edwards was with her in the lift today. And since she and he were the only occupants of said lift, she was dying to say, “Excuse me, aren’t you the guy from ER — ” but after he asked her which floor she was on, and punched it in for her (That was the Edwards voice, she was sure of it!), she was so slayed by his utter politeness that she kept her head down and tried to pretend she wasn’t acutely conscious of the fact that she was sharing a lift with Anthony Edwards.

She’ll watch “Justified” in repeats tomorrow, dear blog readers.

Stay tuned.
