Lens-Artists Challenge # 149, Part 2: Cool Colors – BLUE and GREEN

The host of this challenge is Tina at Travels and Trifles:

• Leaving behind “just for fun”, we move on to the blues and greens found in nature. Complimenting each other perfectly, this was the area where I found the greatest frequency of the two colors together. My image above presents it in an abstract way via a vertical pan of the spring marsh grasses. Below, we see it in a more classic landscape of sky, trees and water.

Self turned out to have a lot of blue and green colors in her garden!

Here are self’s. (Coming clean: These pictures were actually taken, not by self, but by her Airbnb host in Sacramento. Self tried, but her photos were blurry, as these two were in constant motion. Her host very kindly took self’s cell and took these really GREAT pictures. The pets are Coco and Pi. On Instagram, they have close to 9000 followers!)

Coco and Pi were such a delight. It’s been a long time since self’s had a pet. For about 15 years, she had two beagles, Bella and Gracie. They passed ages ago. And now self travels a lot more, so she worries that she can’t give any pets the attention/love they deserve.

Anyhoo, Coco and Pi are the best of friends, as you can see:

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge # 111: EVERYDAY OBJECTS

Patti Moed: Take “a fresh look at ordinary, everyday objects — things that you see and use in your everyday life . . . “

For this challenge, self decided to go outside and see what she could see. Fires are raging in her county, but three things stand between them and her neighborhood: the I-280 freeway, foothills (at this time, dry as dry) and of course FIREFIGHTERS. The fires are at this moment 10% contained; it took firefighters almost a whole week to get there.

Since it is summer, her backyard is in fruit. She has three fig trees, one plum tree, one lemon tree, and two cherry trees. Busy, busy time. Because of this photo challenge, she decided to take pictures of homely garden furniture which she’s had for probably decades:
