Flower of the Day (FOTD): Agapanthus (Blown)

The heat today was murderous. It so happened that today was a zoom meeting of the Peninsula Rose Society, and everyone was talking about water, water, water. Some members have been getting up at 4 a.m. to do their watering, crawling underneath bushes, trying to escape the nosy neighbors who might remind them that water is scarce.

Self has huge acapanthus bushes in her backyard. This is what they look like, today:

Some of the leaves are bleached almost white.

Posting for Cee Neuner’s Flower of the Day (FOTD) Challenge.

    1. Yes, I know someone who loved to say that, all the time, AGAPANTHUS. I don’t know what it is about flower names. About drought: I too water at 4 a.m. I am standing out there with the hose when I see the neighbor across the street come out in his pajamas, and we both stare at each other, then go back inside our houses w/o speaking.
