Sylvain Landry Week 33 Photo Challenge: STAIRS

Another very interesting theme this week from Sylvain Landry: STAIRS.

Self has taken many pictures of stairs. But she passed over quite a few of them and selected this one, from a trip she took to New York in March 2015.

This particular subway stop (53rd and Lexington) has sentimental value for self. For one year, when she was 22, she worked in New York City. Her office was at the very top floor of the Citicorp Building (the Wedge). Every day she took the No. 7 train from Flushing and switched at Grand Central to go to 53rd and Lexington. And walked up this very same set of stairs.

That subway station is such a deep source of inspiration for me. Just being there reminds me of what it felt like to be 23 in New York City. Thank you for the comment!
