Self is fascinated by how everything seems so sixties and retro in a Best Western hotel.
We stayed in one when we attended son’s graduation with a Masters from Claremont in May. Dig that striped chenille carpet and the Levolor vertical blinds! And the cheaper-than-Ikea table and chairs!

There were also quite a few honky-tonks near the hotel. Must be why it was so much cheaper than the Doubletree in Claremont, har har har! Self wished she could have included a few shots of those burlesque shows. But she had to be circumspect because we were usually in the presence of Sole Fruit of Her Loins and Jennie.
Is it just self, or are The Daily Post photo challenges becoming more challenging? The last two, she wasn’t sure she was understanding the theme correctly. The Weekly Photo Challenge instructions say you can “take your two photographs from the exact same spot” or “you can get more creative with your angle and point-of-view.” Hope these two shots fit the bill!
