Paris at Last! Taste of Happiness

Self’s first day in Paris:  sun, sun, sun!  (She just checked the weather for Edinburgh:  Rain, rain, rain)

Bonnie took self to a neighborhood café for lunch.

Mid-afternoon, Bonnie had to run some errands.  When she returned, she presented self with this:

chocolate and cream-filled brioche, fresh from a café in Paris

The geraniums on her balcony are in bloom!

Self decides that, in view of the fact that she had a most hectic sojourn in Amsterdam, she will spend this day relaxing, and reserve her gallivanting for the morrow.

Stay tuned, dear blog readers.  Stay tuned.

Moving So Fast, Self Will Never Slow Down, Never Slow Down

The Eurostar from Amsterdam to Paris takes three hours (You pass Rotterdam and Brussels, among other places)

There is actually wi-fi, which costs 6.5 Euros for 60 minutes, which means self is in heaven. (But the wi-fi is oh-so-super-slow.  And every time the train pulls into a station, the connection gets dropped, which means you waste precious minutes re-typing everything.  The service is offered by a company called Thalys, and there are big signs advertising their service.  When her time was up, self was asked to fill out a survey form.  Self gave them only an average score)

The only drawback to this ride is that she can’t seem to figure out where the restaurant car is.  But since she still has a batch of butterscotch tablets that she brought from Edinburgh, she has munchies.

This whole trip has been such a gas.

Stay tuned, dear blog readers.  Stay tuned.
