Samantha Sotto: BEFORE EVER AFTER

This book is a bestseller.  Self is green with envy.  GREEN.

But, enough of that, self!  First of all, Sam Sotto is so nice.  So super-nice.  She dropped by self’s blog after self wrote a Publisher’s Weekly post about a list of authors, including her.  And she had her publisher send an advance copy of her first novel, Before Ever After.  Which self really appreciated, because summer is the time for reading.  And she loves discovering new writers.  Especially Filipina writers.

And this book really hooks.  The end of the first chapter is —  ??!!@@##

Chapter Two begins —

Just hold on a minute, self!

If self were to begin quoting from Chapter Two, she’d end up giving dear blog readers a major spoiler.

Anyhoo, she is really enjoying the book.  Thanks much for the advance copy, Sam!  (Last self heard, Sam was in the good ol’ Philippine Islands, on a book tour)

Here’s the author bio from the back of the book:

Samantha Sotto fell in love with Europe’s cobbled streets and damp castles when she moved to the Netherlands as a teenager.  Since then, she has spent nights huddled next to her backpack on a beach in Greece, honeymooned in Paris, and attended business meetings in Dusseldorf in the pleasant company of a corporate credit card.  Before Ever After was inspired by her experiences living, studying, and traveling in Europe.  This is her first novel.

Stay tuned.
