More Looking Back: At the Mayor’s, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental

Two weekends ago, self was with cousins in a mountain town called Don Salvador Benedicto.

Only when self looked closely at the picture did she realize that she had her shirt on backwards:  the front is supposed to say “Ako ay Taga-Negros Occidental” (I’m from Negros Occidental)

!!!!

Cousins: Mae, Self, Marilou

That was some trip, dear blog readers.  Self woke up after her night at La Vista Highlands in a deeeep fog.  Spoke to Dearest Mum (which one must never do, not after a night of deeep fog, and during that conversation, Dearest Mum kept asking why self had chosen to stay the night.  A question for which —  jeez, self had no good answer.  Not at that time of the morning, anyway.  Because she was exploring? Would that answer have satisfied Dearest Mum?)

Incidentally, picture was taken by a brother of the current mayor of DSB, who turns out to have been an excellent photographer —  all the pictures he took of cousins and self that day came out clear and with just the right exposure.  (Self still has no idea who this august personage Salvador Benedicto is, or why his name should have been selected to grace the newest town in Negros Occidental)

Stay tuned.
