Raylan Loses His Stetson! Permanently!

Self has finally watched the season 1 finale of “Justified.” What is most different about this episode is:

  • Aside from there being no Erica Tazel (who mysteriously vanished from the cast several weeks back), there is no Jacob Pitt aka/ “Sharpshooter from Afghanistan.”

Reflections on Margarita D Once Having Owned a Sheep Farm, This Sunday’s Stanford Commencement, and a Failed Meeting with a Tree Guy

Margarita Donnelly, publisher of Calyx, is here this weekend to attend her class’s 50th reunion at Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton. In the course of an afternoon’s raucous conversation, self learned that Margarita once owned a sheep farm. Margarita fed her sheep bananas and watermelons. Apparently, sheep only have lower teeth so they can’t chew very well, and Margarita rendered for self the most hilarious approximation of what a sheep looks like when it is gnawing at a whole watermelon.
