“Zombieland” : Epic

Woody Harrelson in cowboy hat and snakeskin jacket (and displaying incredibly toned biceps) = 4 stars

Unknown male playing nerdy teen-age lead (vaguely reminiscent of Michael Cera, but better!) = 4 stars

Emma Stone in skinny black jeans and boots = hot = 4 stars

Rock soundtrack (Including one song that incorporated title of classic Ernest Hemingway tome, For Whom the Bell Tolls) = 4 stars

Tongue-in-cheek irreverence that somehow manages to be relevant as it shows off all the incredibly great aspects of the American character (pluck, derring-do, resourcefulness in the face of ultimate danger etc etc etc) = 4 stars

Abigail Breslin very deadpan.  Perhaps in her next movie she could try to be a little less so.  In spite of that, she was three-and-a-half stars.

Cameo by Bill Murray = three stars

Amusement Park setting for Grand Finale = over-the-top Four Stars!

Stay tuned, dear blog readers, stay tuned.
