For All You Lovers of Harney & Sons Pomegranate Oolong Tea . . .

I posted about the tea in August.

Since then, this post has become the hands-down all-time favorite of visitors to my blog, viewed by more people than all the rest of my posts put together (!!!)

Go figure. Was it the mention of Hong Kong and dysentery? The connection between the Lipo Towers and suicide? Or was it the mournful image of myself preparing cups of tea in the lonely pre-dawn hours?

Checking back on all the comments people have posted on my blog since the very beginning — there aren’t many — I find this one from “poisondprincess”: “Your miseries have made you as a stone.”

I didn’t mean to sound like a totally miserable person, but like a person who has everyday fears and anxieties.

But perhaps I do come off as a Class-A whiner.

Will promise to do better.

Meanwhile, yesterday, there were three messages from Katherine wondering where to buy the tea.

I’ve been trying to reply, but my computer is from the Jurassic era, and even though I put in an application in August for a faculty loan from xxxxxxx community college so that I could purchase a new Mac laptop, it’s been months and the loan hasn’t yet been approved

There’s some small glimmer of hope because next week we’re driving down to visit son in San Luis Obispo. There’s a good chance he’ll let his mom get on his fancy computer, son’s always been sympathetic to my writerly travails.

But I need to respond right away to Katherine, who misses the tea and can’t find it anywhere. Katherine, if you’re still reading my blog, here’s what it says on the side of the red-brick tin:

Harney & Sons Fine Teas
5723 Route 22
Millerton, NY 12546

Call: 1-800-TEA-TIME

Good luck finding the tea, Katherine! Post here if you’re successful . . .
