The Church at Liliw, Laguna

Today, drove to Laguna to visit Grace and Pinky.

Careen came along.  So much fun, stopping at roadside stands for:  polvoron, espasol, pastillas.  Must confess, heart gave a lurch when saw the sign pointing to Calauan.  Thank God the dastardly mayor is still in jail.

Stopped for lunch at a tiny restaurant called Arabela’s, and saw the beautiful old church (built 1605) at Liliw.  The proportions of this structure, the stained glass window, and the intricate altarpiece are stunning, and all self could manage were a few measly pictures.

The mosquitoes seem to be snacking on self’s legs quite voraciously.  Other than that, she is quite content.

Stay tuned, dear blog readers.  Stay tuned.
